Our Story – How Loch Fyne Candles Began

Loch Fyne Candles began in the most unexpected of ways—during a lockdown date night. As first-time parents navigating life with a newborn, we were searching for a creative way to unwind together once the baby was asleep. One evening, we ordered a candle-making kit and gave it a try. The first candles weren’t exactly perfect—but there was something calming and joyful in the process that drew us in.

We kept experimenting, slowly learning what worked and what didn’t. That first winter, we gifted candles to friends and neighbours—each one named after the places we were lucky enough to walk during lockdown along the shores of Loch Fyne. Those daily walks had kept us grounded, and we wanted our candles to reflect that same sense of peace and gratitude.

When people began reaching out to ask if they could buy a candle, we realised we might have something special. What started as a quiet hobby during a difficult time grew into Loch Fyne Candles—a business rooted in love, community, and the simple desire to spread a little light.
