Take a wander through the beautifully tended gardens of Stonefield castle and breathe in the sweet scents of the shrubs and flowers along the way. This trail is a favourite with any four legged friends who love to explore. Colourful shrubs will line your path as you head over the bridge and down to the shoreside where a narrow strip of land will take you on the path to Barmore Island. One of Loch Fyne’s smallest islands, capped in green, you can walk all the way around it. Depending on the tide, you might need your wellies!

If you find exploring the island thirsty work, you can always stop by Stonefield Castle for a wee refreshment before you head home. The views of the Loch from the Castle’s elevated position will take your breath away.
